PROOFREADING

Sometimes known as basic editing, this is the simplest edit. Along with beta reading notes, I'll pore through your work to fix any mechanical errors including misspellings, typos, punctuation, and basic grammar to give your book a professional look. 

COPYEDIT

$0.75 / 100 words

Also known as heavy editing or line editing, this is a more in-depth edit. Nothing about your story itself will change, but you'll receive general readability and story notes. On top of that, I’ll go through your piece with a fine-toothed comb to fix mechanical mistakes as well as offer suggestions on word choice, syntax, sentence length and flow. A second round of proofreading follows the heavy edit. This is where we start improving the actual writing itself.

DEVELOPMENTAL EDIT

Also known as substantive or content editing. Here’s where the real fun starts. Everything in your story is going to be scrutinzed down to the color of your protagonist's best friend's bedroom walls. Along with a heavy edit, I’ll offer advice on charaters and their growth, plotlines, subplotlines, overall organization, point of view, tense, voice, POV, dialogue, and any other reasonable thing you may want or need help with. A second round of proofreading follows the developmental edit.
