Praise for "Walden":

"Walden at Fatty Shakes by Dustin Brown, was a full act long, and followed a high schooler named Wes who, despite never reading Walden, decides to follow the example of his idol Thoreau, whose name he never pronounces correctly, and retreat into a life in the woods, which goes just about as poorly as one would expect. The play hit a little close to home with my own high school experience, and effectively poked fun at the wannabee intellectuals and revolutionaries that everyone knew, or was, in high school, with clever misquotes from famous authors, frequent mispronunciations, and Wes’ own special cringe-inducing poetry." - Anthony Frattarelli, Kalamazoo College Naked Magazine (2014 Winter/Spring):
